Fall Trimming in the Highview area of Louisville, KY

October 12, 2025

Our customer in the Highview area called to get the shrubs around their home trimmed. We trimmed and shaped the hedges in the front of the house below the window sill which maximized the amount of natural sunlight being let into the home. This is especially important during the cooler weather to allow maximum airflow when the windows are open and naturally provide heat to the home's interior.

Our team trimmed the ornamental trees on both ends of the house, trimmed and shaped the hedges around the sides and back, and cleaned off the fence line.

Regular trimming provides instant curb appeal improvement, but it also keeps your plants healthy, encourages strong spring growth, and prevents overgrowth from blocking windows and walkways and potentially damaging your house.

At WLS, we believe every home deserves to shine and the landscape is an integral part of showcasing your home's natural beauty. Recently, we worked on a property for our long-time customer in Highview, KY where the front shrubs and trees had become overgrown and were hiding the home’s features. The challenge for this particular property included overgrown shrubs blocking walkways and windows, extra foliage crowding the foundation beds, and a general need for reshaping and refreshing the landscape.

Your air conditioning unit works hard to keep your home cool and comfortable through Kentucky’s hot summers. The truth is, many homeowners don’t realize that soil erosion, water runoff, and shifting ground can put their outdoor unit at risk. Over time, these issues can cause debris buildup, water damage, or even impact how efficiently your system runs. The good news? A simple landscaping solution can make all the difference: a retaining wall.
